What is this material

Gütermann's ornamental thread is made from polyester, which means you get a strong and durable thread that won't snap easily as you sew. The silk sheen gives your stitches a refined look, as if they were worked in real silk. Because of the thread's thickness, decorative stitching really stands out and adds nice dimension to your work. The thread is colour-fast and keeps its sheen even after washing. A reliable choice if you care about quality and a crisp finish.

Uses

This steel grey ornamental thread works beautifully for any decorative sewing where the stitch is meant to show. Think:

• Decorative stitching on jackets and trousers
• Stitching buttonholes
• Decorative edge finishing on bags
• Contrasting stitches on denim
• Finishing pockets and lapels
• Machine or hand embroidery
• Reinforcing stressed seams
• Accent lines on leather
