Gütermann Ornamental And Button Hole Thread Brown 30M (694)

This spool shows a warm, deep brown shade reminiscent of freshly roasted coffee beans or dark leather. The thread has that distinctive silk sheen Gütermann is known for, visible in the gentle lustre on the spool. A colour that works beautifully for stitches that add just a touch of character to your sewing without being loud or showy.

• Thickness: No. 120
• Length: 30 Metre

What is this material

This ornamental thread is made from polyester, spun into a yarn with a lovely sheen that makes the difference between an ordinary stitch and a decorative one. The thread is sturdier and thicker than standard sewing thread, so your stitches stay visible on the fabric. Gütermann is known for making durable threads that don't break easily and retain their colour and lustre even after washing. The 30-metre spool gives you plenty for several decorative stitches or a few buttonholes. Thanks to the polyester composition, the thread resists fraying and won't fade quickly in the wash.

Applications

This brown ornamental thread is made for projects where you want the stitch to be seen rather than hidden. Think about:

• Decorative stitching on jackets and trousers
• Stitching buttonholes in a contrasting or matching colour
• Decorative seams on bags and leather accessories
• Zigzag stitches and ornamental seams on denim
• Edge finishing on collars and cuffs
• Quilting where the stitch is part of the design
• Top stitching on pockets and lapels
• Hand sewing projects where a sturdy, shiny thread is desired

Conclusion

With this brown shade you add a subtle, warm accent to your decorative stitches without grabbing attention. Check out the other colours in the range Gütermann Ornamental And Button Hole Thread or explore the full selection of haberdashery at Rijs Textiles.
