What is this ornamental thread

This Gütermann thread is made from strong polyester and specially developed for decorative stitches that stand out through their sheen and even structure. The thickness of no. 120 makes the thread sturdy enough to stay visible on the fabric, while still running smoothly through needle and machine. Because the thread is made from polyester, it stays colour-fast and resists frequent washing. The silk sheen provides a luxe finish that shows immediately in the final result. Gütermann has been known for years for this combination of strength and fine sheen, which means your sewing looks neat and professional.
