What is this material

This ornamental thread is spun from polyester, a fibre known for its strength and durability. The thread has a noticeably thicker structure than regular sewing thread, specially engineered to show up as a decorative stitch. Thanks to the polyester composition, the colour stays vibrant and the thread resists washing and pressing without fading or weakening. The silk sheen provides a subtle lustre that gives your stitching that touch of refinement. Gütermann has been known for years for the consistent quality of their threads, and this ornamental thread is no exception.
