What is this material

This ornamental thread from Gütermann is made from polyester with a silk finish, giving you a smooth, taut appearance with every stitch. The thread is strong and won't break easily, even with intensive use on your sewing machine. The even thickness of the thread ensures a uniform decorative stitch with no fraying or thin spots. The thread holds up well to washing and pressing, so your stitching stays beautiful for years. These qualities make it especially suited for projects where you want the stitching to be visible and decorative.
