What is this material

This ornamental thread is made from polyester, spun into a sturdy yarn with a beautiful sheen reminiscent of silk. The thread is thicker than regular sewing thread, which means your stitching stays clearly visible and looks a bit more decorative. Thanks to the polyester construction, the yarn is strong and won't break easily, even with heavy machine use. The 30 metre spool gives you plenty for several smaller decorative sewing projects or a few buttonholes. Gütermann has been delivering consistent quality for years, so you can work with confidence.

Uses

This cream ornamental thread works well for all sorts of decorative sewing where the stitch itself becomes part of the design. Think of:

• Decorative stitching on collars, cuffs and hems
• Stitching buttonholes
• Decorative edge finishing on jackets and skirts
• Topstitching on bags and accessories
• Accent seams on children's clothing
• Machine embroidery work
• Finishing pockets and lapels
• Quilt projects where the stitch stays visible

Conclusion

With this cream coloured spool of ornamental thread you give every sewing project a neat, polished finish. Browse the other colours in the Gütermann Ornamental And Button Hole Thread range, or explore the full selection of Haberdashery at Rijs Textiles.
