Gütermann Ornamental And Button Hole Thread Camel 30M (412)

This warm camel colour has a rich, honey-like golden tone with a subtle silk sheen that's clearly visible on the spool. The thread winds tight and smooth, a hallmark of the even thread thickness Gütermann is known for. Camel is a shade that works beautifully for bold decorative stitching as well as a warm, natural finish on autumn tones and beige fabrics.

What is this material

This ornamental thread is made from polyester, spun into a strand with a distinct sheen that's noticeably thicker than regular sewing thread. That extra weight makes decorative stitches stand out and creates a nice relief on fabric. Polyester thread is naturally strong and elastic, so it won't break easily during sewing, even at higher machine speeds. The silk sheen gives every stitch a polished, almost handcrafted look. Because the thread is colour-fast and wear-resistant, the camel tone stays beautiful even after frequent washing.

Applications

This Gütermann ornamental thread is purpose-built for visible stitches where you want that extra touch to show. Think about:

• Decorative stitching on jackets and coats
• Stitching buttonholes
• Decorative edges on bags and accessories
• Contrasting or matching stitches on denim
• Finishing pockets and lapels
• Quilting with visible stitch patterns
• Hand sewing projects where a lustrous thread is desired
• Topstitching on leather-like fabrics

Conclusion

With its warm camel tone and smooth sheen, this ornamental thread is a welcome addition to any sewing room. Browse the full range of Gütermann Ornamental And Button Hole Thread or explore more haberdashery at Rijs Textiles.
