Gütermann Ornamental And Button Hole Thread Dark Jeans 30M (112)

This spool of ornamental thread shows a deep, muted denim blue that echoes washed denim fabric. The thread has a subtle silk sheen that catches the light beautifully without being showy. The solid twist in the thread is clearly visible in the photos, promising a tight and even stitch. A colour that works wonderfully with denim, workwear and dark basics.

What is this material

Gütermann's ornamental thread is made from polyester, giving it high tensile strength and durability through use. The thread has a gentle lustre that adds just that bit extra to your stitching, without the shine of pure silk thread. Polyester thread stretches minimally and stands up well to washing and pressing, so your decorative stitches stay crisp for years. Dark Jeans is a colourfast shade that resists fading in the wash. Because of the thread weight, it's sturdy enough to show up clearly on fabric, yet feeds smoothly through needle and machine.

Uses

This thread is made for stitches that deserve to be seen. Think of things like:

• Decorative stitching on jeans and jackets
• Topstitching pockets and belt loops
• Buttonhole stitching
• Contrast seams on workwear and bags
• Decorative stitches on leather and faux leather
• Finishing denim skirts and shorts

• Embroidery with large stitches
