What is elastic edging ribbon

Elastic edging ribbon is a knitted ribbon that stretches naturally, unlike standard bias binding which is cut on the bias. Thanks to the polyamide and elastane mix, the ribbon stays supple and springs back to its original shape after stretching. This makes it work really well with jersey, towelling, lycra and other stretch fabrics, where a non-elastic ribbon would cause tension or puckering. The ribbon comes pre-folded, so you can simply fold it round the edge of your fabric and stitch it in place.
