Elastic Edging Ribbon Beige 17mm

This elastic edging ribbon in a warm beige shade has a subtle sheen and a soft, pliable texture that stands out right away on the roll. The ribbon is thin enough to move smoothly with stretch fabrics, yet has enough spring to hold its shape well. Beige is a colour that goes with almost everything, from lingerie to sportswear, so you can use it in many projects without it standing out or clashing with your fabric.

What is elastic edging ribbon

Elastic edging ribbon is a narrow band made from a blend of polyamide and elastane, which creates a fine combination of strength and stretch. Because the band gives across its width, it's excellent for finishing the edges of stretch fabrics without the fabric losing its elasticity. The texture feels soft against the skin, making this ribbon particularly comfortable for garments worn directly on the body. You simply fold the band around the edge of your fabric and stitch it down, with the stretch ensuring a neat, smooth finish. On the roll you can see how nicely the band holds its shape, even after unwinding.

This type of elastic edging ribbon is widely used when sewing garments that need good recovery. Think of these applications:
