What is elastic edging ribbon

Elastic edging ribbon is a narrow, stretchy tape designed specifically to finish the edges of stretch fabrics without restricting the fabric's elasticity. Unlike regular cotton or satin bias binding, this ribbon contains elastane so it moves with jersey, tricot and other elastic materials. The ribbon has a pre-folded centre line, so you can lay your fabric edge right in the middle and stitch it down in one go. The surface feels soft against the skin, making this ribbon especially suitable for garments worn close to the body. The cobalt colour is strong and colour-fast, even after frequent washing.

This elastic edging ribbon in cobalt is a great choice for anyone who works regularly with stretch fabrics. You can use it for:

• Neatly enclosing edges of bras and bralettes
• Necklines and sleeve edges on jersey garments
• Sportswear such as leggings and tops
• Decorative accents on homemade children's clothing
• Edge finishing on yoga wear and dance outfits
