What is elastic bias binding

Elastic bias binding is a finishing tape that, unlike regular bias binding, can stretch and spring back to shape. That's thanks to the addition of elastane to the polyamide fibre, which keeps the ribbon supple even after frequent washing and wearing. The binding comes pre-folded, so you simply clamp the fabric edge between the folds and stitch it down. Because of the stretch, this bias binding adapts easily to curved edges like necklines, armholes, and leg openings. The light sheen and smooth finish mean the binding is not only practical but also looks great against the fabric.
