What is elastic edging ribbon

Elastic edging ribbon is a narrow, stretchy band designed specifically to finish the edges of elastic fabrics. By adding elastane to the polyamide and polyester fibers, the band keeps its stretch, so it moves along with the fabric it's sewn onto. This is what makes the difference from regular bias binding, which is often stiffer and doesn't work as well on stretch materials. The matte look of this red version gives a subtle, neat finish that doesn't stand out but works well functionally. You'll find this band and many other colors in our elastic bias binding section.
