Pink, coral red, blue, lilac and soft yellow alternate between slender green stems, with the odd graceful dragonfly or butterfly tucked between the flower heads. For this jersey we use only combed compact yarn, also called combed compact yarn Ne 30/1. In this spinning process, the short, uneven cotton fibers are combed out, leaving you with yarn that is smoother, stronger and more even than standard yarns. You notice this straight away on the fabric surface: it feels silky soft and has hardly any pilling or unevenness. This fine yarn structure is exactly why the fabric works so well for reactive digital printing. The dye penetrates evenly into the fiber, so the flower print comes out sharp, vibrant and color-true, with deep shades that don't fade in the wash. In short, this is quality cotton jersey, made to stay beautiful for the long haul.

What is Compact Yarn?
Compact Yarn is a type of yarn that is produced using a compact spinning method, which is a newer and advanced spinning technique developed in the late 20th century. Compact yarns are yarns with a special spinning technique, where the fibers are twisted into a very small twisting triangle, which eliminates fibers. This new yarn structure gives compact yarns better strength, better stretch, and less hairiness compared to conventional ring-spun yarns.
