Bamboo Twill Fabric Light Yellow

Bamboo Twill Fabric Light Yellow

This light yellow twill has a warm, buttery tone that reads soft and consistent whether the fabric lies flat or twists into deep folds. Up close you can see the fine diagonal ribbing that marks a true twill weave, giving the surface a quiet texture rather than a flat sheen. The fabric gathers into rounded, fluid swirls while still holding its own shape, a clear sign of real body without any stiffness. The matte finish keeps the yellow looking gentle and even under light, letting the colour speak for itself without any shine pulling focus.

What this material is

This fabric combines bamboo fibre with a small share of nylon, giving you the breathability and soft hand of a natural fibre alongside the extra strength and shape retention that synthetic fibres bring. Bamboo fibre is known for being gentle against the skin and for moving moisture away efficiently, which makes this twill pleasant to wear even in warmer conditions. The nylon content helps the fabric keep its structured drape and resist the kind of stretching out you sometimes see with fully natural wovens. Woven in a twill construction, it has that recognisable diagonal line running through the surface, adding subtle texture and helping the fabric wear well over time. You can read more about the fibre behind this fabric on our bamboo certified page.

About the Crisp Air Finish

The Crisp Air Finish is a treatment applied during production that gives the fabric its clean, slightly crisp surface feel while keeping it light and breathable. Rather than weighing the twill down, this finish helps the fibres sit smoothly against each other, which supports the structured drape you see in the folds and keeps the fabric from feeling limp. It also contributes to the matte look, since the finish reduces surface shine and lets the natural tone of the fibre come through evenly. The result is a fabric that falls with body and holds a crease or seam line cleanly, useful for garments where shape matters.

Applications and projects

With its medium weight and structured drape, this bamboo twill works well across a range of garment projects where you want some body in the fabric without it feeling heavy or stiff. It is a good match for:

• Tailored trousers
• Bermuda shorts
• Blazers and light jackets
• A-line and pencil skirts
• Structured shift dresses
• Casual summer jackets
• Workwear separates
• Lined skirts and dresses
