Bamboo Twill Fabric Burnt Orange

Bamboo Twill Fabric Burnt Orange

This burnt orange twill shifts beautifully between light and shadow, turning almost rust brown in the deeper folds and warming up to a glowing terracotta where the fabric catches the light. Look closely and you can see the fine diagonal ribbing of the twill weave running across the surface, giving it a subtle texture instead of a flat look. The way it swirls and falls into rounded folds tells you a lot about its body, soft enough to drape nicely, yet with enough structure to hold a silhouette.

What is this material

This fabric combines bamboo fibre with a small amount of nylon, woven in a classic twill construction. The bamboo content brings a natural softness and breathability to the cloth, while the nylon adds a bit of resilience and helps the fabric keep its shape over time. You will find this blend listed under Bamboo Certified fabrics at Rijs Textiles, meaning the bamboo fibre used meets recognised sustainability standards. The twill weave itself is what gives the fabric its diagonal rib pattern and its structured, slightly crisp hand feel.

Crisp Air Finish

This fabric has a Crisp Air Finish, a treatment that gives the cloth a clean, dry hand feel without making it stiff or heavy. It helps the twill hold its shape and drape in defined folds, rather than clinging or collapsing, while still allowing air to move through the weave. The result is a fabric that feels light on the skin but looks tailored and put together once it is sewn into a garment.

Applications and Projects

The medium weight and structured drape of this twill make it a strong choice for garments that need to hold their line without feeling heavy. It works equally well for tailored pieces and more relaxed everyday makes.
