Gütermann Extra Strong Ecru 100M (111)

Gütermann Extra Strong Ecru 100M (111)

This spool shows a warm, off-white tone that looks softer than pure white, the color Ecru. The thread is wound tightly and smoothly on the spool, and you can immediately tell this isn't ordinary sewing thread but a sturdy, extra strong variant. The thread has a subtle sheen and consistent thickness, exactly what you need for work where strength and durability matter more than a fine, invisible seam.

Product Features:

• Item Number: G100-111
• Composition: 100% Polyester

What is this material

This extra strong thread from Gütermann is often compared to traditional buttonhole thread, which was originally made from linen. The big difference lies in durability; this polyester version won't rot away like linen thread does over time. The thread is tightly spun, not fuzzy, and stays smooth running through needle and fabric even after heavy use. Thanks to its strong fiber structure, this thread can handle considerable pulling force without snapping or fraying quickly. It's a reliable choice when you know the seam will take serious wear and tear.

Applications

Thanks to its strength and wear resistance, this thread works well for projects where regular sewing thread just won't cut it. Think of work where the seam really needs to stay put, even with frequent use or outdoor conditions.

• Stitching leather bags and wallets
• Securing buttons firmly
• Reinforcing canvas and outdoor textiles
• Shoe repairs and leather goods
• Garden furniture covers and tarps
• Attaching straps and buckles
• Finishing heavy drapery fabrics and cushions
• Decorative topstitching with a sturdy thread
