What is angora jersey

Angora jersey is a single jersey knit with a brushed finish, which gives the fabric a soft, fuzzy surface that feels like real angora wool. The synthetic fiber blend creates a sturdy yet supple fabric that's easy to work with and stays elastic in all directions. Because of the medium weight, the fabric feels substantial enough to hold its shape without being heavy or stiff. The matte appearance and even, light beige color make this jersey simple to mix and match with other fabrics and colors in an outfit. It really shines during the colder months, when you're looking for warmth without sacrificing comfort.

Uses and projects

This angora jersey works well for all kinds of sewing projects where warmth and a soft touch are key. Think about:

• Knit sweaters and vests with a luxury feel
• Comfortable fall and winter dresses

• Loungewear sets for cozy time at home
• Scarves and accessories with a soft texture
• Tops and basics to layer under a jacket or blazer
• Cardigans with a casual, cozy look
