What is Tencel twill

Tencel, also known as lyocell, is a fabric made from wood pulp cellulose through a closed loop production process, which makes it one of the more sustainable options among man made fibres. Woven in a twill structure, this fabric gets its diagonal rib pattern and that lovely fluid drape you can see in the folds. It feels soft against the skin from the first touch and tends to keep that softness wash after wash. Tencel also breathes well, holds colour nicely over time, and breaks down naturally at the end of its life, which is a real plus if you care about what happens to your offcuts and worn out garments. This particular weight sits nicely between fabrics that are too flimsy to hold shape and ones too heavy to drape well, making it a genuinely useful weight to have on hand.
