What kind of fabric is this?

This is a curly teddy fabric, made entirely from polyester and built up from small tight loops that give it that fluffy, sherpa-like surface. The looped structure is what gives teddy fabric its bounce and warmth, trapping air between the curls so it feels insulating without being heavy. At 210 gram per square metre it has a good substantial hand, sturdy enough to hold its shape in a garment or cushion but still soft enough to drape. The brown bear print is worked into the pile itself rather than sitting flat on top, so the pattern keeps its texture and doesn't flatten out with wear or washing.
