Gütermann Atelier Thread MARA 120 Bubblegum Pink 1000M (663)

This spool carries a cheerful, candy-like pink with a soft sheen that catches the light beautifully, exactly as you see on the photo. The thread winds onto the cone in tight, even rows, a clear sign of the consistent quality Gütermann is known for. Bubblegum Pink sits nicely between a true pink and a pastel tone, making it a lively but not overpowering choice for your next project. The yellow label with the characteristic Gütermann branding and the 1000 metre length mark this as a cone built for serious, repeated use.

What is this thread made of

MARA 120 is a 100% polyester sewing thread constructed with Gütermann's Micro Core Technology, which gives the thread a strong core wrapped in fine fibres. This construction results in a thread that is both resistant to breaking and remarkably smooth to work with. The silky finish reduces friction as it passes through your machine, which means less lint build-up and fewer interruptions while you sew. It is a fine thread, number 120, suited to lightweight and medium fabrics where you want a neat, nearly invisible seam. Because it is fully synthetic, it holds its colour well over time and does not weaken when exposed to normal washing and ironing.

Where to use this thread

Bubblegum Pink from the Gütermann Atelier line is a practical choice whenever your project calls for a bright, friendly pink tone. Thanks to its thin profile and strength, it performs well across many sewing tasks.

• Garment construction on cotton, viscose and other light to medium weight fabrics
• Quilting seams where a fine, low-lint thread keeps stitching flat and tidy
• Overlocking and finishing raw edges on knits and wovens alike
• Children's clothing and playful accessories where a candy pink adds charm
• Home decor projects such as cushions, bags and curtains in pink colour schemes
• Topstitching details that benefit from a smooth, consistent thread
