Bamboo is officially a grass species, consisting of long, hollow stems that grow very quickly. A viscose process is used to turn this woody plant into a soft fabric. Like the wood used to make slime, bamboo contains cellulose. This cellulose can be converted into fibers through chemical treatment, which ultimately form the building blocks of fabrics.
