What is Ring Carded Yarn?
What is Ring Carded Yarn?
Ring Carded Yarn is a type of yarn produced using the ring spinning method, a traditional and widely used method for spinning fibers into yarn. The process begins with cleaning and carding the fibers. Carding is the process of disentangling and aligning fibers so that they can be easily spun.
After carding, the fibers are brought together into a loose sliver, which is then drawn out and thinned into a thinner and more consistent format, known as roving. The roving is then spun on a ring spinning machine, where it passes through a spinning bobbin and a traveling ring that twist and compress the fibers to form a yarn.
Ring carded yarn is characterized by its smooth and even appearance and is suitable for a variety of textile applications such as knitting and weaving. The yarn can be made from different fibers including cotton, wool, synthetic fibers, or a blend thereof.
