What is cotton bias binding

Bias binding is a tape cut diagonally, on the bias, from fabric and therefore bends naturally and smoothly around curved and straight edges. This cotton version feels soft, presses well, and takes dye evenly throughout, which shows in the deep aqua colour. Because the binding comes pre-folded in half with a clear centre line, you can fold it directly around a fabric edge and press it before sewing. Cotton also has the nice quality of breathing well and doesn't shine easily under an iron, making it perfect for heavy use in clothing projects.
