Width is a consistent 160 cm, and rolls run to roughly 50 metres. The yarn itself is combed compact yarn (Ne 30/1), a spinning method where short, uneven cotton fibres are combed out before spinning. That leaves a smoother, more even thread than you get from open-end yarn, which tends to pill faster and feel rougher on the surface. The practical result: less pilling over time, a finer surface texture, and a fabric that keeps its looks after repeated washes.

Stretch, needle advice and care

Thanks to the lycra content, this jersey has four-way stretch, meaning it stretches both lengthwise and widthwise and springs back into shape. For sewing, a ballpoint or jersey needle in size 75/11 to 90/14 works best, since it slides between the knitted loops instead of piercing them. Care is straightforward: wash at 30°C, iron on medium heat, tumble dry on low if needed, and skip the bleach. The fabric is also suitable for dry cleaning. It's certified OEKO-TEX Class I, so it's tested for harmful substances even in baby and children's clothing.
