Discover comfort and functionality with Bamboo Terry Fabric Sea Green

Bamboo terry fabric is an eco-friendly alternative that combines comfort and functionality. The fabric is made from bamboo fibers, which are naturally antibacterial and hypoallergenic. This makes it especially suitable for people with sensitive skin or allergies. The texture feels exceptionally soft and luxurious, with a subtle natural sheen. Additionally, bamboo helps regulate body temperature, making the fabric pleasant to wear in both warm and cool conditions. Thanks to the addition of polyester, the fabric is more durable, less prone to wrinkling, and more resistant to wear, without compromising on softness. Ideal for sustainable uses such as bathrobes, towels, or baby items. The fabric is reversible: one side features short loops, the other longer loops for an extra soft feel. It combines properties such as colorfastness, breathability, quick-drying, and excellent moisture absorption. Even after frequent washing, the fabric remains soft and retains its quality and color.

How sustainable is bamboo cultivation?

Bamboo is an exceptionally sustainable and versatile raw material, starting from cultivation. The plant grows on nearly any type of soil—even land unsuitable for other crops. It’s ready to harvest within just 8 to 10 weeks, and after harvesting, it regrows naturally without replanting. Bamboo also has a natural resistance to pests and fungi due to the protective properties of its bark, eliminating the need for chemical treatment. Its yield per hectare can be up to ten times higher than that of cotton, making bamboo a much more eco-friendly and efficient alternative.

What makes this fabric so special?

Highly absorbent: Thanks to its reversible use, the textile has excellent absorbency, making it ideal for products that need to quickly and effectively absorb moisture.
Soft & comfortable: Feels wonderfully plush against the skin and becomes even softer after tumble drying.
Breathable: The structure allows for natural ventilation and enhances comfort.
Durable: This bamboo fabric retains its shape and quality even after repeated washing, contributing to a long lifespan.
Versatile: Perfect for various creations such as bathrobes, towels, beach towels, baby capes, and more.

What is Bamboo? A Sustainable and Comfortable Fabric

Bamboo: A Grass Species with Versatile Applications

Bamboo is officially a grass species, consisting of long, hollow stems that grow very quickly. A viscose process is used to turn this woody plant into a soft fabric. Like the wood used to make slime, bamboo contains cellulose. This cellulose can be converted into fibers through chemical treatment, which ultimately form the building blocks of fabrics. Bamboo is a sustainable ingredient because it can grow in any soil, naturally regenerates after being cut, and grows quickly without requiring much water or pesticides. This makes cultivating bamboo more environmentally friendly than cultivating cotton. By converting bamboo fibers into fabrics, soft and flexible materials are created. Breathable and antibacterial properties make bamboo fabric very comfortable to wear and suitable for people with sensitive or allergic skin.

Properties and Benefits of Bamboo Fabric

Because bamboo fabrics are soft and do not irritate the skin, they are often used to make children's clothing. They even have antibacterial properties and are not static. Like viscose fabric, bamboo fiber fabric is soft and has beautiful folds, while being able to absorb a lot of moisture. This makes the fabric breathable and ensures that it does not stick to you when you sweat on a hot summer day. On the other hand, bamboo also has thermal insulation properties, keeping you warm in the winter. An additional advantage is that bamboo fabric does not wrinkle or shrink.

Bamboo in Combination with Other Materials

Bamboo is common in knitwear, cotton, or fleece, and is therefore combined with polyester, cotton, and/or spandex for stretch. These combinations result in comfortable, durable, and versatile garments that are suitable for different seasons and activities.
