With more than 5,000 items, choosing can feel overwhelming. Here are a few practical guidelines:

• Application determines everything: if you are making clothing, pay attention to stretch, drape and wearing comfort. For interiors, durability and wash resistance matter more.
• Material and feel: linen is natural and breathable, viscose is soft and fluid, satin is glossy and elegant, jersey is stretchy and comfortable.
