Processing and Sewing

Preferably use a stretch or jersey needle size 75–90 and fine polyester thread. Sew with a small straight stitch or a light zigzag stitch to preserve the stretch in the fabric. Because satin is sensitive to needle marks and pressure marks, it is always advisable to test on a scrap piece before starting the actual project. Use sharp scissors or a rotary cutter when cutting and lay the fabric flat to prevent shifting — satin is smooth and moves easily. Iron at a low temperature with a pressing cloth, never directly on the glossy side.

Care

Wash Stretch Satin Fabric (Double-Sided) Cacao at a maximum of 30°C using a delicate or hand-wash programme. Use a mild detergent and avoid tumble drying — let the fabric air dry. Iron at a low temperature, always with a pressing cloth or inside out to protect the glossy satin surface.
