There are many different types of jersey fabrics, each with its own unique properties and characteristics. French Terry, for example, has a looped pile on one side and a smooth surface on the other, making it ideal for sweatshirts and joggers. Bamboo Jersey is made from bamboo fibers, which are known for their softness, durability, and sustainability. Nicky Velour is a type of velvet fabric with a soft, plush surface and a brushed backing. Other variations of jersey fabric include rib fabric (Wide Drop Needle, Ottoman, Rib Jersey or Knitted Corduroy), which has vertical ribs or raised ridges on the surface, and Ajour Fabric, which has a pattern of openwork or holes. Viscose Jersey is made from synthetic fibers and has a soft, absorbent quality, while Scuba Crepe is a polyester knitted fabric with crepe construction on one side.
